Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy, and expensive and you probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Wrong Door

Submitted by MNLaker - we purchased this range, but received the same model number, but with this door: https://www.samsung.com/us/home-appliances/ranges/gas/5-8-cu-ft-freestanding-gas-range-with-convection-nx58m5600sw-aa/ . it is far different than the picture displayed in the ad / on this home depot website. we talked to home depot and samsung and they sent out a replacement, but the replacement was again the wrong range door from the one we purchased...so we rejected the delivery. again, the door we received was from the model i linked to above.

Good value for the money

Submitted by jowk - i have had this stove for a day. it is very easy to use. there was very little smell from burn off when first used. this range replaced a 17 year old gas range that the oven stopped working. given the shortage of ranges in the area, i was surprised i was able to get this range. the price was very good. it has features that other ranges in the price range do not have. like the convection feature. i'm hoping to get at least 20 years out of the range. the one draw back is a blue display. it's annoying compared to a green display. this is a minor drawback, but not a deal breaker.

First Impression is Very Good

Submitted by Mortimer - We just received delivery on our Samsung gas range and I have some initial thoughts. First, the range itself is lighter than our old one. I think that the past 30 years have seen changes in thought about the necessity of using higher gauges of steel in appliances. In one way, I like the fact that I can easily pull the range out of its niche if necessary. On the other hand, I sigh when I think of how sturdily appliances like this were built in the past. I do believe, however, that the lighter-gauged steel will not be a problem. The overall appearance of the range is clean and uncluttered. We chose white to match our other appliances in our all-white kitchen. We love the continuous grate instead of individual burner grates. Pans can be moved around without lifting. I don't know the BTU rating on the burners on our old stove, but we like the variety of heat output at the different burners. I have noticed that the sound of the burners is higher than on our old range, but I can't really compare since the old range is gone. We have not yet used the griddle, but very much appreciate the inclusion of this add-on to the range. We also have not yet used the self-cleaning function. The oven heats much more quickly than the old range, to 375 in 8 minutes, a comparative world record in our experience. We haven't used the oven convection feature yet, so can't comment on that. The storage drawer at the bottom is quite shallow and we cannot store the pans we used to in the old oven. However, this does provide more room in the oven. I might add to this--and this could be standard these days--the leveling feet are made from high-impact plastic, which means they don't leave marks after being moved. The old range had steel feet, which left metallic scratches on our tile when it was moved.
