Product Failed 23 Days After Warranty Expires

Submitted by PParker - i guess i should have read more reviews. it's a very nice product, but not reliable. it has a 1 year warranty and what do you know - the unit totally died 23 days after the warranty expired! it has only been lightly used and to die at just over 1 year? unbelievable. i contacted samsung and they said to schedule a service appt which i would have to pay for. that would be silly because service and parts would cost more than the $160 microwave! i guess samsung is not customer focused, has no flexibility in product failure policy and poor product quality to boot. time to buy a different brand.

Door open button doesn't work

Submitted by BullGator - the button that opens the door doesnt work. instead, i have to keep the button pressed down and pull the door open with my other hand. i bought this at best buy, and the issue first arose within the return window. i assumed this was a fluke problem, so i exchanged it for a new one (same make/model). however, the same problem arose again shortly after the return window closed. i was advised to take the microwave to an independent repair shop and get it fixed myself. i expected more from these companies. i have bought a different brand microwave on amazon and will soon put this samsung microwave in the trash where it belongs. i hope the $180 these companies saved by not helping me out is worth the cost of this honest review.

DISAPOINTMENT!

Submitted by Debbie - this microwave traps moisture between glass on door. i placed a service call and was told it was normal and would evaporate. yes, it does. my kitchen aide mixer which sits behind the microwave drips with moisture after i use the microwave. the door also sticks and will not pop open; i have to grab the right hand corner and pull the door open. the unit is very loud and the coil on the inside top has caused several spills with tall mugs. very disappointed with this puchase.

No user manual

Great size counter microwave

Does A Bad Job

Even though you think by following the food package instructions for cooking that your food will be thoroughly cooked, expect the center of whatever you're cooking to be cold and in some cases still frozen. When selecting input you must have your finger straight on the button or it will not work. Apparently the piece that must activate the settings is very small and you must be directly on the specific button .. No side hitting no sliding. . That is the only draw back so far that I have found. .

I had high hopes

The microwave looks great, however it's probably the worst microwave I've ever owned. The first thing I noticed was how loud it was. Okay, I can get over that. But what I can't get over is how long it takes to reheat my food. It just took me five minutes to reheat a piece of chicken and sweet potatoes. Even after that, the food was not very hot. I've never had a microwave take this long. Also, I have yet to find any of my food "crispy" when using the grill feature. I'm almost starting to think I have a defective microwave? I'm not sure, but definitely not happy with my purchase considering the price. I could have went to Wal-Mart and got a cheap one that would have worked better. Will try to contact Samsung for further support.

1 month out of warranty and it's broken

Not expensive, but not cheep

We ended up back at Store X, because they had a large quantity of different microwaves and there cost comparison was really good. We bought the Samsung because it fit all of our family needs. The unit was not the most expensive one on the shelf, but not the cheapest one either. The Samsung is a mid prise range until with great reviews, and we were able to get an extended warranty that was reasonable. The unit is very user friendly with easy to read buttons, and has a feature to disable the beeping.

Broke down after 8 mos.

The micro waves do not seem to 'leak' out of Samsung's countertop models with ceramic inside

Submitted by ShariR - We had read several times info about 'testing' microwaves for 'leakage' of the (micro) waves. The articles said to put a cell phone into the microwave (do not turn it on!) and call it from another cell phone. If the signal goes through and it rings, there is the probability of leakage. As did all others we tested, Samsung' s regular countertop microwaves let the signal through, but Samsung's models with the ceramic interior did NOT let the signal through! Thank you!
